Spreading the word, not the infection
Our award-winning ‘scrub up’ campaign encourages everyone to take responsibility for reducing infection rates and will be appearing again on the TV, in the press, and throughout hospitals in the north east.
Help us to stamp out infection
We are relaunching this successful campaign which stars local NHS staff to remind all health workers, patients and visitors to scrub up well and tackle infection.
The number of infections such as MRSA and clostridium difficile remain at an all time low in the north east, but the priority to reduce rates even further and raise everyone's awareness about how to beat the bugs has led to the relaunch of this eye catching campaign.
The campaign again features doctors, nurses, domestics and paramedics from Newcastle, Durham, Gateshead, Teesside and Hartlepool. The campaign features TV advertising, external poster sites, bus exteriors, mirror stickers, information leaflets and posters in GP surgeries, hospitals and health centres.
Everyone using NHS facilities is urged to 'Scrub up and spread the word, not the infection'.
'Scrub up and spread the word, not the infection' is a multi award winning campaign. It has received an award for:
