Helping patients get better motivates us all - no matter what our role we are all there working towards a common goal. However, underpinning that motivation we need employers committed to providing support and advice to their staff and who recognise the importance and benefits of a happy, healthy and motivated workforce – in short we should all be able to rely on model north east NHS employers.
To contribute to the model employer aspiration we have created a regional attendance management and health and wellbeing strategy.

Developing a reporting mechanism for organisations in attendance management

Sharing best practice in attendance management through the HR directors’ network

Producing a workforce development plan to deliver our North East health strategy

Undertaking a mapping exercise of current occupational health service provision

Supporting ‘back to work’ schemes for health employees
